Al-Naml 7 of 7
The day We shall gather from every community a section of those who denied Our signs, and they will be brought (in separate groups), 83 When they have come, He will say: 'Did you belie My verses, although you knew nothing, or what was it you were doing' 84 They will become subject to punishment because of their injustice. Thus, they will not speak. 85 Have they not seen how We have made the night for them to rest in and the day to see? Surely, there are signs in this for the nation who believe. 86 And on the day when the trumpet shall be blown, then those who are in the heavens and those who are in the earth shall be terrified except such as Allah please, and all shall come to him abased. 87 And thou shalt see the mountains thou deemest solid passing away as the passing away of the clouds: the handiwork of Allah Who hath perfected everything. Verily He is Aware of all that ye do. 88 Whosoever comes with good will receive a reward better than his deed, and they will be made secure from the terror of that Day. 89 But whosoever comes with evil will be flung face forward into the Fire. Can you expect reward for any thing but what you do? 90 (Say): "I am commanded to worship the Lord of this land He has blessed, to whom all things belong; and I am commanded to be one of those who submit, 91 And to recite the Qur'an." And whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] himself; and whoever strays - say, "I am only [one] of the warners." 92 And say: 'Praise belongs to Allah! He will show you His signs and you will recognize them. Your Lord is not inattentive of what you do' 93

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
