Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 These are the verses of the Book of wisdom, 2 A guidance and a mercy for the doers of goodness, 3 Those who perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as- Salat) and give Zakat and they have faith in the Hereafter with certainty. 4 These are on guidance from their Lord, and these! they are the blissful ones. 5 (In an attempt to show that God's revelations are only ancient legends) some people pay for meaningless tales to draw others attention away from the Quran without knowledge and treat as a matter of fun. They will suffer a humiliating torment. 6 And when Our signs are recited to such a man he turns away, waxing proud, as though he heard them not, and in his ears were heaviness; so give him good tidings of a painful chastisement. 7 Surely, those who believe and do good works shall enter gardens of bliss, 8 Abiding in them; the promise of Allah; (a) true (promise), and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He hath created the heavens that ye behold without pillars, and hath cast into the earth firm mountains lest it move away with you; and He hath scattered thereon every kind of animal. And We send down water from the heaven and We make grow every kind of goodly growth therein. 10 This is the creation of God. Show me what those whom you consider equal to God have created. In fact, the unjust ones are in plain error. 11
