Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif-Lam-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 The revelation of the Scripture whereof there is no doubt is from the Lord of the Worlds. 2 Do they say, "He has invented it himself."? No indeed! It is the truth from your Lord to warn a people to whom, before you, no warner came, so that hopefully they may be rightly guided. 3 It is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth, and all what is between them, in six days, then (befitting His Majesty) established Himself over the Throne (of control); leaving Allah, there is neither a friend nor an intercessor for you; so do you not ponder? 4 He regulates all affairs from high to low, then they rise to perfection step by step in a (heavenly) day whose measure is a thousand years of your reckoning. 5 This is the All Knowing – of all the hidden and the visible, the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 6 Who made everything He has created good, and He began the creation of man from clay. 7 then He made his progeny from an extract of a humble fluid. 8 then He duly proportioned him, and breathed into him of His spirit, and bestowed upon you ears and eyes and hearts. And yet, little thanks do you give. 9 And they say: When we are lost in the earth, how can we then be re-created? Nay but they are disbelievers in the meeting with their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: The angel of death who is given charge of you shall cause you to die, then to your Lord you shall be brought back. 11
