Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 watching over you 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what do you know of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
