۞ People, you are always in need of God and God is Self-sufficient and Praiseworthy. 15 If He wills, He can take you away and bring other creatures. 16 This is well within the power of God. 17 And no burdened soul will carry another soul’s burden; and if a burdened soul calls another to share the burden, no one will carry any part of it, even if he is a close relative; O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), your warning only benefits those who fear their Lord without seeing and who keep the prayer established; and whoever cleansed himself, has cleansed for his own benefit; and towards Allah only is the return. 18 Not alike are the blind (disbelievers in Islamic Monotheism) and the seeing (believers in Islamic Monotheism). 19 the shadows and the light, 20 the shade and the torrid heat; 21 Equal are not the living and the dead. Verily God makes those He will to listen; but you cannot make those hear who are in their graves. 22 You, [O Muhammad], are not but a warner. 23 Verily! We have sent you with the truth, a bearer of glad tidings, and a warner. And there never was a nation but a warner had passed among them. 24 And if they call you a liar, so did those before them indeed call (their apostles) liars; their apostles had come to them with clear arguments, and with scriptures, and with the illuminating book. 25 So We seized the unbelievers. How great was the change I wrought in their condition then! 26
