We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment, 30 (We delivered them) from Pharaoh. Lo! he was a tyrant of the wanton ones. 31 We knowingly exalted them (i.e., the Children of Israel) above other peoples of the world 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 These people say, 34 "There is nothing beyond our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 “Therefore bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful!” 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those afore them? We destroyed them; verily they were culprits. 37 We did not idly create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them; 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,- 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 except those to whom Allah shows mercy. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate. 42
