Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ya Seen. 1 By oath of the wise Qur’an. 2 you (Prophet Muhammad) are truly among the Messengers sent 3 pursuing a straight way 4 This is a revelation sent down from the Majestic and All-merciful 5 [bestowed upon thee] so that thou mayest warn people whose forefathers had not been warned, and who therefore are unaware [of the meaning of right and wrong]. 6 Already the word has come into effect upon most of them, so they do not believe. 7 We have bound their necks with fetters up to their chin, so that their heads are raised and cannot be lowered. 8 and We have put a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and have covered them up, so they are unable to see. 9 It is the same to them whether you warn them or you warn them not, they will not believe. 10 Thou warnest only him who followeth the Reminder and feareth the Beneficent in secret. To him bear tidings of forgiveness and a rich reward. 11 It is We who bring the dead to life and records the deeds of human beings and their consequences (of continual effects). We keep everything recorded in an illustrious Book. 12
