Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ya Sin. 1 I swear by the Quran full of wisdom 2 Verily thou art of the sent ones, 3 upon the straight path. 4 by [virtue of] what is being bestowed from on high by the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 5 so that you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned and so they are unaware. 6 Indeed, the word [of God's condemnation] is bound to come true against most of them: for they will not believe. 7 Indeed, We have put shackles on their necks, and they are to their chins, so they are with heads [kept] aloft. 8 and We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up so that they cannot see. 9 Whether you warn them or not, they will not believe. 10 You can only warn him who follows the Reminder (the Quran), and fears the Most Beneficent (Allah) unseen. Bear you to such one the glad tidings of forgiveness, and a generous reward (i.e. Paradise). 11 We shall surely raise the dead to life and We record what they did and the traces of their deeds that they have left behind. We have encompassed that in a Clear Book. 12
