Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Ya'. Sin. 1 By the Quran, full of wisdom (i.e. full of laws, evidences, and proofs), 2 verily, thou art indeed one of God's message-bearers, 3 pursuing a straight way 4 by [virtue of] what is being bestowed from on high by the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 5 That you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 The Word is proved true against the greater part of them: for they do not believe. 7 Indeed, We have put shackles on their necks, and they are to their chins, so they are with heads [kept] aloft. 8 We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and, We have covered them so that they do not see. 9 Alike it is to them whether thou hast warned them or thou hast not warned them, they do not believe. 10 Thou warnest only him who followeth the Reminder and feareth the Beneficent in secret. To him bear tidings of forgiveness and a rich reward. 11 Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. 12
