Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ya Sin. 1 I swear by the Quran full of wisdom 2 verily, thou art indeed one of God's message-bearers, 3 On a path that is straight, -- 4 It is a Revelation sent down by (Him), the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 5 That you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware. 6 Surely most of them merit the decree of chastisement; so they do not believe. 7 We have bound their necks with fetters up to their chin, so that their heads are raised and cannot be lowered. 8 And We have set a wall before them and a wall behind them, and covered the top – so they are unable to see anything. 9 Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not, it is alike for them, for they believe not. 10 You can only warn him who follows the Reminder (the Quran), and fears the Most Beneficent (Allah) unseen. Bear you to such one the glad tidings of forgiveness, and a generous reward (i.e. Paradise). 11 We shall surely bring the dead back to life and We record what they send ahead and what they leave behind. We have recorded everything in a clear book. 12
