Let the dead earth be a Sign for them. We gave it life and produced from it grain whereof they eat. 33 And We have made therein gardens of date-palms and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein. 34 So that they may eat from its fruits, whereas they are not manufactured by their hands! So will they not be grateful? 35 Holy is He who created all things in pairs; of what the earth grows, and of themselves, and other things which they do not know. 36 And a sign for them is the night, We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness. 37 And the sun runs his course for a period determined for him: that is the decree of (Him), the Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing. 38 And the moon - We have determined for it phases, until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk. 39 how the sun is not supposed to catch-up with the moon, nor is the night to precede the day. All of them are to float in a certain orbit; 40 And a sign to them is that We bear their offspring in the laden ship. 41 And We have created for them of the like thereunto whereon they ride. 42 Had We wanted, We could have drowned them and nothing would have been able to help or rescue them 43 save as a mercy from Us, and enjoyment for a while. 44 Whenever they are told to guard themselves against sin and the forth coming torment so that perhaps they could receive mercy 45 and no message of their Sustainer's messages ever reaches them without their turning away from it. 46 And when it is said unto them: Spend of that wherewith Allah hath provided you, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Shall we feed those whom Allah, if He willed, would feed? Ye are in naught else than error manifest. 47 They say, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?" 48 They await just one scream, which will overcome them while they are involved in worldly disputes. 49 Then they will not be able to make a will or return to their families. 50
