Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth 33 And We produce therein orchard with date-palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth therein: 34 So that they may eat from its fruits, whereas they are not manufactured by their hands! So will they not be grateful? 35 Hallowed be He who hath created all the pairs of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves and of that which they know not! 36 A sign for them is the night. From it We withdraw the day and they are in darkness. 37 And the sun -- it runs to a fixed resting-place; that is the ordaining of the All-mighty, the All-knowing. 38 And for the moon We have appointed mansions till she return like an old shrivelled palm-leaf. 39 It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit. 40 And a sign for them is that We lodged them in a laden ship, while they were in their forefathers backs. 41 and [that] We create for them things of a similar kind, on which they may embark [in their travels]; 42 And if We will, We can drown them, so there would be no help in their distress, nor would they be saved. 43 It is only Our Mercy (that rescues them) and enables enjoyment of life for a while. 44 When it is said to them: "Beware of what is before you and what is past, that you may be treated with kindness;" 45 Not a Sign comes to them from among the Signs of their Lord, but they turn away therefrom. 46 When they are told: "Spend of what God has given you," the unbelievers say to those who believe: "Why should we feed those whom God should have fed if He pleased?" You are only in palpable error. 47 Further, they say, "When will this promise (come to pass), if what ye say is true?" 48 They await not but one shout, which shall lay hold of them while they are yet wrangling. 49 Then they would not be able to make a will, or go back to their people. 50
