The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 And the day when it shines in brightness, 2 And by Who created the male and female, 3 Verily your endeavour is diverse. 4 As for him who gave out his wealth (for Allah's sake) and abstained (from disobeying Him), 5 And testifieth to the Good, 6 We will facilitate for him the easy end. 7 And as for him who stinteth and is heedless, 8 and denied the Truth of goodness: 9 For him We shall ease the way of adversity, 10 Nor will his wealth profit him when he falls headlong (into the Pit). 11 Indeed, Guidance is Ours, 12 And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. 13 So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. 14 none shall enter it but the most wicked, 15 who belied and turned away, 16 And away from it shall be kept the one who guards most (against evil), 17 [He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself 18 And no one has with him any boon for which he should be rewarded, 19 Other than seeking the glory of his Lord, most high, 20 And indeed, soon he will be very pleased. 21
Almighty Allah's Truth.
