Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth 33 And We make therein gardens of palms and grapevines and We make springs to flow forth in it, 34 That they may enjoy the fruits of this (artistry): It was not their hands that made this: will they not then give thanks? 35 Holy is He Who created all things in pairs, whether it be of what the earth produces, and of themselves, and of what they do not know. 36 And a sign for them is the night; We strip it of the day and lo, they are in darkness. 37 And the sun runs on to a term appointed for it; that is the ordinance of the Mighty, the Knowing. 38 We have ordained phases for the moon until finally it becomes like an old date-stalk. 39 It is not for the sun to catch up with the moon, nor does the night surpass the day; and each one of them floats in its orbit. 40 That We bore their progeny in the laden ark is a sign for them; 41 and [that] We create for them things of a similar kind, on which they may embark [in their travels]; 42 We could have drowned them if We pleased, and none would have answered their cry for help, nor would they have been saved, 43 Except by way of Mercy from Us, and by way of (world) convenience (to serve them) for a time. 44 And when it is said to them: Guard against what is before you and what is behind you, that mercy may be had on you. 45 Indeed, not one of your Lord's signs comes to them without their turning away from it, 46 And when it is said unto them: Spend of that wherewith Allah hath provided you, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Shall we feed those whom Allah, if He willed, would feed? Ye are in naught else than error manifest. 47 And they say, “When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?” 48 They await but one Shout, which will surprise them while they are disputing. 49 Then they will not be able to make bequest, nor they will return to their family. 50
