Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth 33 And We make therein gardens of palms and grapevines and We make springs to flow forth in it, 34 So that they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks? 35 All glory to Him who created pairs of everything that grows from the earth, and out of themselves, and other things they do not know. 36 And a sign for them is the night; We strip it of the day and lo, they are in darkness. 37 The sun, too, follows its determined course laid down for it by the Almighty, the All Knowing. 38 We have appointed stages for the moon till it returns in the shape of a dry old branch of palm-tree. 39 Neither does it lie in the sun's power to overtake the moon nor can the night outstrip the day. All glide along, each in its own orbit. 40 And a sign for them is that We carried their seed in the laden ship, 41 And We made similar vessels for them to ride. 42 And if We should will, We could drown them; then no one responding to a cry would there be for them, nor would they be saved 43 It is only by Our mercy that they are granted provision for a time. 44 When it is said to such people: “Guard yourselves against what is ahead of you and what has preceded you that mercy be shown to you” (they pay scant heed to it). 45 And never came an Ayah from among the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it. 46 When they are told to spend for the cause of God out of what He has provided for them for their sustenance, the disbelievers say to the believers, "Should we feed those whom God has decided to feed? You are in plain error." 47 And they say, “When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?” 48 They must be waiting for but one single blast, which will overtake them while they are still disputing. 49 Then they will not be able to make bequest, nor they will return to their family. 50
