Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth 33 And We have placed in it gardens of dates and grapes, and We have made springs of water in it. 34 That they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands did not make it; will they not then be grateful? 35 Hallowed be He who hath created all the pairs of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves and of that which they know not! 36 A sign for them is the night. From it We withdraw the day and they are in darkness. 37 The sun runs to its fixed resting place; that is the decree of the Almighty, the Knower. 38 And the moon, We have determined it in phases till it returns like an old palmbranch. 39 It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit. 40 And an Ayah (sign) for them is that We bore their offspring in the laden ship [of Nuh (Noah)]. 41 And We made similar vessels for them to ride. 42 And if We will, We drown them, and there is no help for them, neither can they be saved; 43 except Our mercy which could enable them to enjoy themselves for an appointed time. 44 When it is said to such people: “Guard yourselves against what is ahead of you and what has preceded you that mercy be shown to you” (they pay scant heed to it). 45 And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they are from it turning away. 46 And when it is said to them: Spend out of what Allah has given you, those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Shall we feed him whom, if Allah please, He could feed? You are in naught but clear error. 47 They say, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?" 48 They must be waiting for but one single blast, which will overtake them while they are still disputing. 49 So they shall not be able to make a bequest, nor shall they return to their families. 50
