The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 And have placed therein a guard against any satan froward. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
