The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). 12 They pay no attention when they are reminded 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
