The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 And to guard against every rebellious devil. 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 Except one who sometimes steals a part, so a blazing flame goes after him. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised (again)? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 and will say: "Oh, woe unto us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
