The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 and the scarers scaring 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 They are rejected and theirs is an everlasting punishment; 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 and will say: "Oh, woe unto us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
