The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the rangers ranging 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 Verily your God is One, 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; 9 But if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge], he shall be pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 Rather you are surprised, whereas they keep mocking. 12 And when they are reminded, they remember not. 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21
