Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 And ease my task for me; 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 (That) they may understand my word; 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Add to my strength through him, 31 “And make him a partner in my task.” 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 And much remember Thee. 34 Indeed, You are of us ever Seeing." 35 The Lord said, "Moses, your request is granted. 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 when We inspired thy mother with this inspiration: 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 I have chosen you for Myself. 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 "Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds; 43 "But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah)." 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. 47 "'Verily it has been revealed to us that the Penalty (awaits) those who reject and turn away.'" 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 Pharaoh asked, "What about the previous generations?" 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 He it is Who spread the earth for you; and made in it paths for you, and sent down water from the sky, and then through it We brought forth many species of diverse plants. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle: verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 54
