۞ But We shall say, "Assemble those who did wrong together with their associates and what they worshipped 22 Beside Allah, and lead them on to the path of the Flaming Fire. 23 And stop them; verily they are to be questioned: 24 They will be asked, "Why do you not help each other?" 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 They will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were not believers. 29 Moreover, we had no power at all over you: nay, you were people filled with overweening arrogance! 30 So the sentence of our Lord has come to pass against us: (now) we shall surely taste; 31 Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. 32 Truly, that Day, they will (all) share in the Penalty. 33 Lo! thus deal We with the guilty. 34 Surely they used to behave proudly when it was said to them: There is no god but Allah; 35 and would say: "Shall we, then, give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 “And you will not be compensated except for your deeds.” 39 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 40 will have their determined sustenance 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 sitting face to face upon couches, 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 wherein no sickness is, neither intoxication; 47 And with them maidens of modest look and large lustrous eyes, 48 (Pure) as they were hidden eggs (of the ostrich). 49 Then shall some of them advance to others, questioning each other. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 who would say: "Are you among the believers (of the resurrection)? 52 ‘That when we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, that we will either be rewarded or punished?’ 53 (A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down?" 54 He will look down and see him in hell. 55 He said, “By Allah, you had nearly ruined me!” 56 If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell]. 57 (Another will say:)"Is it true, we are not going to die 58 Other than our first death, and we shall not be punished? 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum? 62 which We have made as a test for the wrongdoers. 63 It is a tree that grows in the nethermost part of Hell. 64 its fruit [as repulsive] as satans' heads; 65 Then most surely they shall eat of it and fill (their) bellies with it. 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 They indeed found their fathers astray, 69 But they make haste (to follow) in their footsteps. 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 and We had sent among them Messengers to warn them. 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 EXCEPT for God's true servants, [most people are apt to go astray.] 74
