۞ [The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship 22 besides God, and show them the way of hell. 23 And stop them; verily they are to be questioned: 24 "What is the matter with you that you do not help each other?" 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 And some of them will confront the others, 27 Some [of them] will say: "Behold, you were wont to approach us [deceptively] from the right!" 28 But they reply: 'Rather, you were not believers. 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 The statement of Our Lord is realized against us, and we are tasting it, 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom. 33 This is how We deal with the guilty. 34 Whenever it was said to them: “There is no true deity apart from Allah,” they waxed proud 35 and said: “Shall we forsake our deities for the sake of a distracted poet?” 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 Most surely you will taste the painful punishment. 38 although you shall not be requited for aught but what you were wont to do. 39 But the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah,- 40 For them is the sustenance known to Us. 41 a variety of delicious fruits; and they shall be honoured 42 in the Gardens of Delight, 43 seated on couches, facing one another. 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 White, delicious to those who drink. 46 causing no headiness or intoxication. 47 And with them will be maidens (houris) who restrain their wide glances 48 As if they were eggs, safely hidden. 49 Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning. 50 One of them says, 'I had a comrade 51 "Who used to say, 'what! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the Truth (of the Message)? 52 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we be recompensed?" 53 (The man) said: "Will you look down?" 54 Then he looked down and saw him in the midst of hell. 55 He said: "By Allah! You have nearly ruined me. 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 Then, are we not to die 58 Other than our first death, and we shall not be punished? 59 Most surely this is the mighty achievement. 60 For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive. 61 Is this not a better reward than the tree of Zaqqum 62 Verily, We have caused it to be a trial for evildoers: 63 Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell. 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 and they [who are lost in evil] are indeed bound to eat thereof, and to fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then they will have on top of it a mixture of boiling water. 67 then their return is unto Hell. 68 Verily they found their fathers gone astray. 69 So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps. 70 And assuredly many of the ancients went astray before them, 71 And certainly We sent among them warners. 72 Then see how was the end of those warned, 73 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 74
