And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What, then, do you think of the Sustainer of all the worlds?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 All the people turned away from him 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you – therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
