3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
