And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 All the people turned away from him 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
