Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
