Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
