3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 Then, We gave him the glad tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous, 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
