3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
