۞ When [Jesus] the son of Mary is held up as an example, your people raise an outcry on this, 57 And they say: Are our gods better, or is he? They do not set it forth to you save by way of disputation; nay, they are a contentious people. 58 He (Prophet Jesus) was only a worshiper whom We favored and We made him an example to the Children of Israel. 59 And if We willed, We could have established angels on the earth instead of you. 60 It is knowledge of the Hour; doubt not concerning it, and follow me. This is a straight path. 61 do not let Satan bar your way. He is truly your sworn enemy. 62 NOW WHEN Jesus came [to his people] with all evidence of the truth, he said: "I have now come unto you with wisdom, and to make clear unto you some of that on which you are at variance: hence, be conscious of God, and pay heed unto me. 63 "Verily, God is my Sustainer as well as your Sustainer; so worship [none but] Him: this [alone] is a straight way!" 64 Then the sects differed among themselves. Woe then unto those who do Wrong because of the torment of an afflictive Day. 65 Do they wait for aught but the hour, that it should come! upon them all of a sudden while they do not perceive? 66 Friends on that day will be foes, one to another,- except the Righteous. 67
