3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And made his progeny survive, 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We rescued him in exchange of a great sacrifice. (The sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ismail peace be upon them is commemorated every year on 10, 11 and 12 Zil Haj). 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
