3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 What do you imagine the Lord of the worlds to be?" 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
