And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
