Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
