We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
