We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
