Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
