THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
