Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 Until ye visit the graves. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
