Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
