We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
