Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
