We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
