We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
