We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And showed them the right path. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
