Hizb 46

Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 And they believed, whrefore We let them enjoy life for a season. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 except him who shall roast in Hell. 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 Lo! we, even we are they who set the ranks, 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 will certainly be victorious 172 And surely, only Our army will be victorious. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
