The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 by the promised day, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
