Hizb 46

So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 And they believed, whrefore We let them enjoy life for a season. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Is it not of their own calumny that they say, 151 "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 That they would be helped, 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 Therefore turn away from them till a time, 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
